Question 1: Can I choose the same college in round 1 and round 2?
One of the readers had asked “If I did not get allotment in a college chosen in round 1, I understand that I cannot select that college in round 2. Is this true?”.
The simple answer is: it is not true. You can select the same college in round 1 and round 2. There are no restrictions.
For example, I have selected 25 colleges in my choices for round 1. But, I did not get any college in round 1. Now, can I select the same 25 colleges as my choice in round 2? Yes, absolutely yes. Can I select a completely different set of 25 colleges for round 2? Yes, you can do that.
Can I select 10 colleges in round 1 and 100 colleges in round 2? Yes, no problem.
Can I select 100 colleges in round 1 and only one college in round 2? Yes, you are free to do that.
To summarize, you are free to select the choice of your colleges. There are no restrictions in terms of choice of colleges across the various rounds of counseling.

Question 2: Reservation applicable for deemed universities in all India counseling?
There is no community reservation in the seat allotment for deemed universities in all India counseling. That is, there are no seats reserved for OBC, SC or ST candidates in deemed universities. However, there are certain seats reserved for the following category of students:
- NRI category – 15% seats in each deemed university
- Muslim minority – seats reserved in Yenepoya medical college, Mangalore and Hamdard institute of medical sciences and research, New Delhi
- Jain minority – seats reserved in Smt. B.K. Shah Medical Institute and Reserach Centre, Vadodara

The above are the only reservation available as per 2020 admission. Please check the seat matrix by MCC for the latest information.
